"This hooking was one of a series I did of children at play at local beaches. I worked from photos I had taken over several summers. Each hooking was a learning experience, and each taught me something new. I particularly loved this hooking as it allowed me to hook a portrait of a child with his dog and also to further my quest to make water as realistic as possible. This rug was the start of my fascination with reflections and translucency of water."
