"I love llamas and alpacas. I had gone to a livestock show and taken lots of photos as source material. One photo was of a jaunty fellow with attitude. I researched Peruvian art, since alpacas and llamas are prominent in that country, and the colors and patterns I found in their artwork made my choices easy. The top and bottom borders are derived from Incan woven belts, and the sides are a striped pattern you might find in a serape. The colors are traditional rusts, browns, and creams.
Llarry himself is a charismatic guy with a straw dangling from the side of his mouth. He's my Sinatra-like star. I love the textures in his fleece and the added alpaca yarn for his bangs."
