"This rug was inspired by happy memories of rowing with my brother and our dog from the family cottage in Maine. I chose a red and green split complementary color plan for balance, and an extremely limited palette for the greatest harmony. I positively loved working as much pearlescence as possible into the largest flower, stuffing it in a 3-D fashion through Trapunto, and beading a shiny butterfly for contrast of texture."
