"This was one of my first original designs and my first entry in Celebration. I decided to create a memory rug that included scenes from a car trip we took through 14 states. I learned so much from this rug – from how to design a rug, create a pattern, maintain balance to keep your eye moving, and dye wool to recreate the colors I saw in my photos. There are many things I would do differently now, but looking at the rug brings back pleasant memories of the trip and my hooking journey."
