"Working on the Railroad is adapted from a photo my father took when he had his first summer job working on the extra gang of the CNR. He took the photo in 1938 near Bowland’s Bay, ON. This is the track that we travelled to New Brunswick on summer holidays. I walked this track as a teenager with my friends on our way to Ella Lake. The track was important to the railway. Capreol was the divisional point where the train from Toronto joined the train from Montreal to continue west to Vancouver and vice versa. This track is gone. Things have changed in my lifetime, more than I ever thought possible."
