ATHA in the Mountains
2019 Biennial in Denver, Colorado
We invite you to help us celebrate ATHA’s 40th anniversary at our Biennial, August 28–31, 2019, in Denver, Colorado. ATHA (Association of Traditional Hooking Artists) was started by a small group of 15 progressive hooking ladies in 1979 and has grown to over 4,000 active members who love and share rug hooking and fiber arts. The host hotel is Grand Hyatt, 1750 Welton St., Denver, Colorado. This four- star hotel located in beautiful downtown Denver is near many scenic and interesting spots. Great rates were negotiated for this event.
A biennial is held every two years in a different part of the country, as a majority of ATHA’s members reside in the United States. Region 10 (CO, ID, MT, UT, WY) is hosting the event this year. The Biennial includes classes, fiber art exhibit, vendors, a nationally known guest speaker, demonstrations, live and silent auctions. Take advantage of the opportunity to meet up with old friends and make new ones. It is the perfect place to meet teachers and vendors you have only read about.
