Udderly Purple
Purple was never my favorite color, although for unknown reasons, purple generally piques my sense of humor. Perhaps this explains why the Ogden Nash poem* about a purple cow suddenly came to mind one day, causing me to have a real case of the whimsies. Like some half-forgotten strains of a song, I recalled:
I never saw a purple cow, I never hope to see one. But I can tell you anyhow I’d rather see than be one.
