Winter Horse

Artistic renderings of the horse have been around for more than 6000 years. I love their graceful beauty. This felted tapestry was completed using a combination of wet felting and needle felting. The evergreen trees and the dark green border frame the scene of a lively dappled horse on a winter morning. The sprigs and vines of holly gave me an opportunity to needle some additional colors, brightening up the tapestry for a charming holiday scene.
To begin, enlarge the pattern to any size you desire. Cut two pieces of pre-felt a couple of inches larger than the pattern. This extra area, around the outside edge, will provide room for binding, stretching, sewing, or framing. It may be trimmed off at the end if not needed.
