"This rug depicts my granddaughter, Madison, as a fairy. Her face was the biggest challenge because it is rather small and hooked in a 6 cut. Laura Pierce taught me to hook it in a “higgledy-piggledy” manner.

My favorite thing about this (other than the fairy) is the turtle. Every year we go to a lake in Michigan and have a traditional family turtle hunt. Don’t worry; we release them.

I used hundreds of crystals in the sky along with sparkly wool for the sky and shimmery fabric on top of wool for the wings."
