"I chose this pattern several years ago because I loved the playful qualities of the design, with its padulas (imaginary flowers), stars, and wonderful leaf border. Over time, the number of objects in the design began to seem too busy, so when I finally did get it out to hook I eliminated a lot of extra berries, twigs, and flowers."
"My favorite part of the rug is the central star flower. I love how the bold, darker rays form a base support for the center of the flower. The colors of the circles in the center have a nice rhythm that keeps your eye moving. The attached flowers have a little highlight that keeps them from looking too flat."
