"What a beautiful pattern. It was meant to be a very quiet palette. I color planned it myself. I am now getting a little braver and trusting my own judgement about color. The background is Woolrich scarlet, spot dyed with Nancy Blood's Plum Duff. Over ½ yard of scarlet, ¼ T plum, and ¼ T navy in one cup of boiling water each. Blend the formula in well. What a rich background. The scrolls were done over different colored wool, but with one formula from the greens in the leaves in the rug. Victorian is on the floor in my living room. So, I do enjoy seeing it every day."
