Designing Folk-Art Houses

Before you sit down to design—even before the pencil is in your hand—you have to understand what exactly is folk art. In paintings, the artist uses strong forms in simple arrangements, using flattened perspective. Folk art can be highly decorative, and the painter often incorporates bright colors into the work.
