Pieces of My Past

By designing a hooked piece to fit the recessed 10" x 8 1/2" pocket of a 15" x 13 1/2" door, I was able to repurpose a cupboard door that held special memories for me. 

We all have that special item that holds dear memories or a special meaning in our lives. However, there often comes a time when we need to part with these items due to space or other life events. For me, it was my cupboard door. With a bit of creativity, I was able to repurpose the door of a favorite cabinet, which I had for many years and held ties to my childhood. My creative thinking helped me to keep a piece of my past.
