Materials: #8-cut wool on linen
Designed by Jane McGown Flynn and hooked by Cindy Irwin, Pequea, Pennsylvania, 2006.

"I did this rug as my show and tell for Teachers' Workshop. I had just finished my first primitive rug and was excited about doing another one. I was told that they had seen this rug done many times and wanted to see something different. I decided to do Primitive Fruit in a primitive photographic style. I found a recipe for sepia tone by MaryAnne Lincoln and dyed the formula over many different types of wool. Betty McClintic helped me with the placement of colors and suggested that we give them something to think about. The blueberry is done in a #3 cut with a 6-value gray swatch. Everything else is a #8 cut."
