Hooked Rug Museum of North America and Fibre Art Market
Three Destinations in One
By: Story by Janet Couper
In 2009, Suzanne Conrod and Hugh, her late husband, purchased an abandoned, derelict bowling alley in rural Nova Scotia. In 2013 the brilliantly redesigned building officially opened as the Hooked Rug Museum of North America and Fibre Art Market.
As each year passes the Museum continues to grow; providing careful preservation of precious historical acquisitions, celebrating the creative endeavors of aspiring artists, and developing inspirational programs to foster the continuation of rug hooking art into the future.
