Pops of color with Pop Art flair

Punch-Counterpunch

One thing to consider when beginning to work on a new project is what really gets you inspired. Take that inspiration and use it, maybe in an unconventional way that you wouldn’t normally see yourself doing. Keep it interesting! Get weird with it! When Amy and I (Cotey) brainstorm for article ideas, we always try to find a “teaching moment” within the process of the project. Whether it’s technique, color use, or just stepping out of your comfort zone (like last issue’s working with a limited color palette), experimentation can be a break from your ordinary routines and maybe even breathe new life into the craft for you!
