Time to Celebrate! To RHM with Love

It’s a very big deal for a magazine to reach its 30th anniversary of continuous publication. I took up rug hooking twelve years ago and I’m so grateful that there has been, and continues to be, a magazine dedicated to my favorite fiber art. Over the years, I’ve learned about techniques, found patterns, been awed by the work of incredible rug hookers, and been inspired to become a better fiber artist.

My heart-shaped box of standing wool is my Valentine to say, “Thank you, Rug Hooking magazine!”  

I started gathering the components of this piece over a year ago without a definite plan in mind. When I realized that this special anniversary was coming up, I knew how it would all come together. The heart-shaped candy box, found at an antiques mall, a heart-shaped cookie cutter made into a paisley pin cushion, lots of beautiful wool made into quillies—it all adds up to my way of saying how much I appreciate and love receiving each issue of this magazine.
