Tutti-Frutti Twist
Dyeing wool with kids always makes me a little nervous since most methods require pre-soaked wool, pots of boiling water, acid-based dyes, lots of equipment, measuring, mixing, and patient attention for each pot of color being dyed. To avoid much of that, I developed the Tutti-Fruit Twist. Not only is it a one-step, dry-wool technique that requires no dye, it also produces a vast rainbow of colors in one simple pot. Therefore, everyone, even someone with a short attention span, ought to really love this technique.
