Pattern Exclusive: Annabelle the Wanderer
A Wayward Sheep Takes a Stroll
Annabelle the Wanderer, 14" x18", #8-cut wool on linen. Designed and hooked by Mary Johnson/Designs in Wool, Kennedy Meadows, California, 2015.
Every hooked rug tells a story. It may be a story of color, it may be a story of design, or it may be a whimsical story of a wandering sheep. The star of this story is Annabelle. She is about to wander off the farm. Safety and security are not part of her mindset as she considers an early evening walk. Where is her shepherd, we might ask? Will she really leave her happy home? Will she find her way back?
Have fun and enjoy each loop as you hook Annabelle and contemplate her story. (Complete project in this issue.)
