"This pattern was so much fun to hook. The chroma is brighter than I normally use and the contrast with the dark background only makes the colors stronger. I started with the bird as I knew I wanted him to be bright and used wonderful pieces of antique paisley on him. But then I couldn’t tone down the rest of the design and the flowers ended up being just as bright. It just wanted to be bright!  Someone else loved this rug also and it is hanging in a private home in Pittsburgh."
