"I like the human face. It is fun to hook a human face using only wide cut, off-the-bolt, textured wool. Separating your wool textures into stacks of light, medium, and dark values is very important before you start hooking. A black and white photo makes the best visual aid. In the case of Mr. 'GQ,' he is a conglomeration of magazine advertisements and television commercials. Mr. 'GQ' is pleasing to look at, and, more importantly, he was fun to hook."
