"I fell in love with Windsor Oval, a Karl Kraft pattern, when I first started hooking in 2004. I loved the various types of flowers and the color possibilities of each. This rug introduced me to fine shading, which I still enjoy hooking today. I also gained experience in color planning, balance and how to shade flowers and leaves using 8 value, dip and spot dyeing. Learning placement of colors was the most challenging part of this rug. Windsor Oval was given as a gift to my niece, but it will always have a special place in my heart for the many lessons it provided a beginning rug artist."
