Needle Felted Lion Tapestry

Guardian animals at the Tree of Life and protectors of the Holy Grail—lions, dragons, birds, horses, and deer—are often depicted in ancient designs. Simple shapes come to life with a vivid color pallet. This project is designed for needle felters and can easily be adapted to rug hooking.
    
You can begin felting anywhere in the pattern.I tend to work from one corner to the other so I can watch the illustration come to life.
