Wide cuts are Sheri Bennett's passion. And in this rug-within-a-rug design, Sheri had the opportunity to do double the amount of hooking with wide-cut strips.
Sheri picked the colors for this rug with input from her teachers Ramona Maddox and Eric Sandberg. The outer border of the rug features a variety of greens and green-blue strips to create the leaves. Veins in the leaves along the edges are hooked in grays and gray-blues; leaves in the corners have darker green veins. Sheri used several shades of oatmeal wools to complete the background of the outer border, following the outline of the leaves and flowers to complete the fill.
