"This mat was inspired by the poem 'Desiderata' by Max Ehrmann: 'You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars, you have a right to be here, and whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should… Keep peace in your soul.' I depicted the child as my precious granddaughter, loving her puppy, and took a wonderful class on hooking faces by Donna Hrkman at Sauder Village to immortalize her. It is a gift for her Dad."
