"This was one of the most challenging rugs I have hooked. At the time I was assigned this rug, hooking leaves was my least favorite subject of all. I moaned and groaned and then got to work. Some of the leaves I was not familiar with as these leaves do not grow on Texas trees. Each leaf was a challenge, but the background is my favorite. I dyed a beautiful spot from a Multi-fusion Spot dye book and then, using a technique shown to me by Floss Stillman, hooked the background. This rug has a traditional design which will never go out of style."
