"In Still Life #3 with Teapot, my goal was to capture the shine and reflections on my favorite metal teapot using blocks of bold color instead of resorting to metallic fabric or thread which doesn’t work. I love this still life, which was set up on my kitchen stove, for its composition of repeating circles. I use objects found mostly around my home for my still lifes. I see now I had a few problems with perspective in this piece that weren’t noticed while I was hooking it. I was pleased that I accomplished what I set out to do."
