"This came from a card found in the Juneau Airport done by a native artist from the Island of Angoon. She canoed with her Golden Retriever visiting Inuit sites and loved being out in nature. Our son now has it soaring through his living room in Wisconsin on Lake Winnebago. The eagle was the great challenge because I’d never done an animal before. When I got his eye right, the rest just flowed from there. I dyed the wool for this rug and had to try various gray greens for the mountains. I just love the landscape ensconced within the eagle’s spread wings, which gives it a certain drama."
