How One Clever Rug Hooker Keeps Those Pesky Leftovers Under Control

By: Kathleen Eckhaus
Noodle Control

When I asked about this stunning piece that I saw in her home, Tracy told me that she found the Pearl McGown burlap rug pattern, Vermont Geometric, at a flea market. Since Tracy’s rugs “are made for walking (on)”, she decided to enlarge the pattern.

During this visit and rug discussion, I learned that Tracy has a series of projects called Auditioning my Stash. These rugs are designed to use up only what she has on hand. No new fabric was purchased in the making of any of these rugs.
