"This is my tiny Shih Tzu, Audrey’s, first snow. It was fun to hook her in her preferred messy state. The different shades of color used in the separate strands of the dog’s fur were leftover from my other hookings. Only the white was new. The black is actually navy blue. I started hooking her eyes, nose, and mouth and then the most noticeable locks of hair, remembering to add snow here and there, especially around the eyes, so they wouldn’t get lost in the dark fur. Gradually everything else was filled in. The white areas were hooked last."
