"I enjoyed creating the many different motifs and areas in this rug (my second completed rug). I liked using dip-dyed wool on the tower with onion dome roof to show its roundness. I dyed wool to match a purchased wool piece for the colorful sunset. I realize now I could have used plaid or herringbone wool for the roof and the road. I put several cat images in the rug. Most people have a hard time finding the fourth cat. The wide border took a long time to hook, but it really makes a nice 'picture frame' for the piece."
