"This rug was done entirely in #3 cut. I did a rose first and didn't much enjoy it, but I loved working on the leaves. My original color plan was based on how Annie Spring did this rug, but teacher Vivian Eyford pointed out my colors for the daisy and pomegranate 'just didn't work.' So I chose different interesting colors which seemed to play well with each other. For the background, I started with three different light-colored wools, but halfway to being finished, I ripped it all out and changed to just one more pleasing ivory color I dyed."
