Summertime flowers, summertime energy. This summer issue brings you a whole passel of intriguing articles. Have you ever hooked your pet cat? Check out Susan Cunningham’s gallery of cat portraits. Perhaps you will be inspired to render your feline in wool.  If you are like all the rug hookers I know, you have an overload of leftover noodles and wool strips. You will appreciate how one of us tames those bits and bobs—I might just follow her lead with my leftover worms. Lucy Welsh and friends visited their local fair and were inspired to hook rugs—what a great source of inspiration! If you are looking for a primitive rug to hook during these summer months, take a look at the antique flower basket pattern we have for you. A basket of flowers in the summertime? Perfect!
